Very knowledgeable rifle instructors who have many years of SWAT team and Sniper team experience will present this course. Rifles with “open sights” or “iron sights” are allowed in the Basic Rifle course. Optics or scopes are preferred for this course and are required for the Phase Two rifle training. All optics should be sighted in prior to class, whenever possible. If you have a “red dot” type optic mounted, we recommend you sight in your .223 & 5.56mm at 50 yards. All rifles with scopes should be sighted in at 100 yards. For large classes, we will offer a “Sight-In Day” one or two weeks before this course for those who need to “zero” your rifles. We can probably save you a lot of ammo costs if we help you sight it in. The “Sight-In Day” is free if you are pre-registered in a Rifle or Carbine class. The “sight in day” is for large classes only. For classes with only one or two students, we can sight you in during class. If you do not own optics or a scope yet, feel free to call us for advice BEFORE you buy. Students are responsible for providing all of the ammunition needed for this course.
